Possible Causes
Deteriorated jet body gasket, Cracked Sundance jet body, Loose jet retaining nut, Freeze damage to jet plumbing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and lower water level below the leaking jet before attempting repairs.
- 1. Confirm leak location: Remove the cabinet panel nearest the suspected jet and inspect the backside of the shell for dripping when the spa is filled above that jet.
- 2. Remove jet internal (if needed): Twist and pull out the internal jet insert to access the jet body.
- 3. Tighten retaining nut: From the back side, gently tighten the plastic retaining nut that holds the jet body to the shell. Do not overtighten.
- 4. Replace gasket or body: If the gasket is brittle or the body is cracked, the jet body must be removed and replaced with a Sundance-compatible jet body and gasket, using spa-rated silicone as needed.
- When to call a technician: Accessing and replacing jet bodies often requires removing insulation and working in tight spaces; many owners prefer to have a professional perform this repair.
