- Test water: Use a test strip to check pH, alkalinity, and calcium hardness. Adjust to Sunrise Spas recommended ranges.
- Shock the spa: Add a non‑chlorine shock or chlorine shock per label directions to oxidize contaminants.
- Drain and refill: If foam persists, drain the spa completely, wipe the shell to remove residues, clean filters, and refill with fresh water.
- Limit soaps: Rinse bathing suits thoroughly in clean water only and shower before using the spa.
