Possible Causes
Partially obstructed filter, Marginal circulation pump performance, Misadjusted pressure switch, Debris in heater manifold restricting flow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI before servicing.
- Deep clean filters: Soak Sunrise Spas filter cartridges overnight in a spa filter cleaner solution, then rinse thoroughly. Replace if pleats are collapsed or fabric is torn.
- Inspect circulation pump: With the equipment bay open, restore power and observe the circulation pump. Listen for unusual noise or intermittent starting. If the pump stops and starts, the motor or capacitor may be failing.
- Check pressure switch tubing: Some Sunrise Spas packs use a pressure switch with a small hose. Inspect for kinks, cracks, or blockages and clear any debris.
- Adjust or replace pressure switch (advanced): Some switches are adjustable. With a technician’s guidance, minor adjustments can be made so the switch closes reliably at normal flow. If adjustment does not help, replace the switch.
