Possible Causes
Incorrect wiring at GFCI breaker, Loose line or neutral connections in control pack, Low supply voltage, Shared circuit with high-load devices
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the main panel before opening any electrical boxes. If you are not comfortable with electrical work, contact a licensed electrician.
- Verify dedicated circuit: Sunrise Spas hot tubs must be on a dedicated GFCI circuit of the correct amperage. Ensure no other loads share this circuit.
- Check wiring connections: With power off, open the control pack and confirm that L1, L2, and Neutral (if used) are securely tightened to the terminal block according to the Sunrise Spas wiring diagram.
- Inspect GFCI breaker: Look for signs of overheating or loose connections at the breaker. Tighten as needed.
- Measure voltage (advanced): Using a multimeter, verify that line voltage at the spa matches the nameplate (e.g., 240V). Low or fluctuating voltage can trigger PF errors.
