Possible Causes

Open or shorted high-limit sensor, Loose sensor in heater manifold, Corroded connector at control board, Overheated heater tube causing sensor damage

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Shut off power at the GFCI and allow the spa to cool.

  • Locate high-limit sensor: It is usually mounted on or near the heater manifold, separate from the main temperature sensor.
  • Check mounting: Ensure the sensor is fully seated in its well or clamped securely to the heater tube for accurate readings.
  • Inspect wiring: Follow the sensor lead to the control pack and check for loose or corroded connections. Clean and reconnect.
  • Replace if needed: If Sn2 persists after reset, replace the high-limit sensor with a Sunrise Spas-compatible part. If the heater tube shows signs of overheating, have a technician test the heater and relays.
