Possible Causes
Air trapped in pump after refill, Closed slice valves, Pump impeller broken or detached, Suction blockage at skimmer or intake
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before loosening any unions.
- Verify water level: Ensure the spa is filled above all jets and skimmer opening.
- Open valves: Confirm all slice/gate valves around the jet pump are fully open.
- Bleed air: Loosen the pump union on the discharge side until air escapes and water appears, then retighten.
- Check suction: Inspect the skimmer basket and suction fittings for blockages.
- Impeller inspection (advanced): If the pump motor runs but still no flow, the impeller may be broken and the pump wet end should be opened and repaired or replaced.
