Possible Causes
Loose union at pump or heater, Cracked PVC plumbing, Failed pump shaft seal, Leaking jet body or air control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI and avoid standing in water near electrical components.
- Locate leak source: Remove cabinet panels and inspect around the Sunrise Spas pump, heater, and plumbing while the spa is filled.
- Tighten unions: Hand-tighten any loose unions on the pump and heater. Do not overtighten with tools as this can crack fittings.
- Seal small drips: For minor drips at threaded fittings, drain below the leak and apply appropriate spa-grade thread sealant or replace the fitting.
- Replace seals or plumbing: If the pump shaft seal is leaking or PVC lines are cracked, the pump or plumbing section must be rebuilt or replaced.
