Possible Causes
Loose pump mounting bolts, Misaligned pump and plumbing on Tuff Spas base, Air in pump causing cavitation, Worn pump bearings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before tightening or adjusting the pump.
- Step 1 – Check mounting: Ensure the pump is firmly bolted to the equipment base and rubber isolation pads are intact.
- Step 2 – Bleed air: Bleed the pump union to remove trapped air that can cause cavitation noise.
- Step 3 – Inspect plumbing support: Make sure rigid PVC lines are supported and not putting stress on the pump unions.
Persistent loud vibration may indicate internal pump wear; replacement of the pump assembly may be required.
