Possible Causes
Tripped or failed GFCI breaker, Loose or incorrect wiring to Tuff Spas control pack, Blown internal fuse on control board, Failed control pack power supply
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Working with 240V power is hazardous. If you are not experienced, contact a licensed electrician or spa technician.
- Step 1 – Check GFCI breaker: Locate the spa’s dedicated GFCI breaker. If it is tripped, reset it fully OFF then ON. If it trips immediately, do not keep resetting—there may be a short.
- Step 2 – Verify service disconnect: Ensure any outdoor disconnect box feeding the Tuff Spas unit is in the ON position.
- Step 3 – Inspect internal fuses: With power off and locked out, remove the control pack cover and check for glass or blade fuses on the board. Replace only with identical ratings.
- Step 4 – Look for burn marks: Inspect the control board for burned components or melted connectors, which indicate a failed control pack.
If the spa remains dead after breaker and fuse checks, the control pack or incoming wiring likely needs professional diagnosis and repair.
