Possible Causes
Cracked jet body on Tuff Spas shell, Loose jet gasket, Split plumbing line within foam insulation, Leaking light niche or suction fitting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power if water level drops below skimmer or suction fittings to prevent pump damage.
- Step 1 – Mark water level: Use a piece of tape on the shell to track how quickly the water drops.
- Step 2 – Inspect around jets and fittings: Look for dampness or water stains around jets, lights, and suctions on the outside of the shell and under the cabinet.
- Step 3 – Dye test: With pumps off, use food coloring near suspect fittings inside the spa and watch for it being drawn into cracks.
Leaks inside the foam or shell typically require professional leak detection and repair, including foam removal and plumbing replacement.
