How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power before handling ozone equipment. Avoid inhaling concentrated ozone.
- Check ozone tubing:
- Inspect silicone tubing from ozonator to injector for cracks or disconnections.
- Inspect check valve:
- Locate the ozone check valve and ensure it is installed in the correct direction.
- Replace if clogged or stuck.
- Clean or replace injector:
- Remove the ozone injector from the plumbing and soak in a descaling solution if clogged.
- Replace if heavily scaled or damaged.
- Test ozonator:
- With power ON and ozone active, check for a faint buzzing and airflow from the ozonator outlet (do not inhale directly).
- If inactive, replace the ozonator with a USSPA-compatible unit.
