Possible Causes

Failed topside control panel, Damaged keypad ribbon cable, Faulty low-voltage supply from control board, Moisture damage to display

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF power at the breaker before disconnecting the topside panel.

  • Inspect keypad cable:
    • Access the underside of the topside panel and follow the ribbon cable to the control box.
    • Check for pinched, cut, or corroded cable.
  • Reseat connector:
    • Unplug and replug the keypad connector on the control board.
  • Check for moisture:
    • Look for condensation or water under the topside overlay; if present, the panel likely needs replacement.
  • Replace topside panel:
    • Order the correct USSPA topside control and install according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Control board check:
    • If a new panel does not light, the low-voltage supply on the control board may be faulty and require board replacement.
