How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power at the breaker before touching the pump.
- Allow pump to cool: If the pump housing is very hot, let it cool for 30–60 minutes.
- Check for obstructions: Remove pump unions and inspect the impeller area for debris.
- Verify voltage (advanced): A qualified person can measure voltage at the pump terminals to ensure proper supply.
- Inspect capacitor: If accessible, check the pump start/run capacitor for bulging or leakage and replace if faulty.
If P1 persists, the pump motor may need replacement.
