Ozone or UV sanitizer not operating, water quality deteriorates faster

Safety first: Turn off power before servicing ozone or UV equipment. Avoid looking directly at UV lamps when energized.

• 1. Check indicator (if equipped):
  • Some Wellis models have an ozone or UV status indicator; verify if it shows operation.
• 2. Inspect tubing and check valve:
  • Locate the ozone generator and follow the tubing to the injector.
  • Ensure the check valve is oriented correctly and not blocked.
• 3. Listen for operation:
  • With power ON and filtration running, listen for a faint buzz from the ozone unit.
• 4. Replace components:
  • Replace the ozone generator or UV lamp according to Wellis maintenance intervals or if non-functional.
• 5. Maintain chemistry:
  • Until the system is restored, maintain proper sanitizer levels manually.
