Possible Causes
Blown internal fuse on main PCB, Faulty power cord, Defective main control PCB power supply, Faulty on/off switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug from mains before opening the cabinet. High voltage is present on the power board.
- Check outlet: Test the wall socket with another appliance. Reset any tripped breakers.
- Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. Replace the power cord if damaged.
- Access main PCB: Remove the rear or side panel to access the main control PCB. Locate the onboard fuse (usually a glass or ceramic fuse).
- Test fuse: With a multimeter, check continuity of the fuse. If blown, replace with the exact same rating. If it blows again immediately, there is a deeper fault.
- Check power switch: If your AEG model has a mechanical power switch, test it for continuity when turned on. Replace the power switch if faulty.
- Board replacement: If the fuse and switch are good but there is still no power, the main control PCB power supply section may have failed and needs replacement.
