Possible Causes
Burned-out fan motor, Seized fan bearings, Loose fan motor connector, Faulty fan driver on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing the fan.
- Check for obstructions: Inspect the fan for foreign objects or ice preventing rotation. Remove any blockage.
- Spin test: Try spinning the fan by hand. If stiff or stuck, the fan motor is likely defective.
- Check wiring: Ensure the fan motor connector is firmly seated on the main PCB and that wires are intact.
- Voltage test: If you are qualified, power the unit and measure voltage at the fan motor when it should run. If voltage is present but the fan does not turn, replace the fan motor assembly.
- PCB issue: If no voltage is supplied, the main control PCB may have a failed fan driver.
