Dehumidifier leaks water onto the floor

Safety: Unplug the unit and mop up any spilled water to prevent slipping.

• Inspect water tank: Remove the water tank and check for cracks or overfilling. Replace the tank if damaged.
• Clean drain channel: With the tank removed, locate the drain outlet from the evaporator tray. Use a flexible brush or pipe cleaner to remove slime and debris.
• Check tank seating: Ensure the tank slides fully into place and that any seals or gaskets are intact.
• Continuous drain setup: If using a hose, confirm that the drain hose is firmly attached, not kinked, and slopes downward to the drain. Avoid lifting the hose above the outlet height.
• Test for leaks: Pour a small amount of water into the evaporator tray area and observe the flow into the tank or hose to confirm proper drainage.
