Water Level Sensor / Float Switch Error
Dehumidifier shows E7 and stops operation, often related to water tank

Possible Causes
Stuck float in water tank, Dirty or blocked float chamber, Faulty float switch or reed sensor, Disconnected float sensor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before removing the water tank.
- Empty and clean tank: Remove the water collection tank, empty it completely, and wash with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry.
- Check float movement: Inside the tank or tank housing, locate the plastic float. Ensure it moves freely up and down. Remove any scale, slime, or debris that may cause sticking.
- Inspect float switch: Some AEG models use a magnetic float and a reed switch in the body. Check that the reed switch housing is secure and not damaged.
- Check wiring: Follow the wires from the float switch to the main PCB. Ensure connectors are firmly seated and not corroded.
- Test switch: With a multimeter, test continuity of the float switch while moving the float between empty and full positions. Replace the water level float switch if it does not change state.
- Reinstall tank correctly: Make sure the tank is fully inserted and seated; many models have a tank-present micro switch that must be engaged.
