Possible Causes
Misaligned water tank, Broken tank-actuated lever, Faulty tank micro switch, Loose switch wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before inspecting the tank area.
- Re-seat the tank: Remove and firmly reinsert the water tank, ensuring it clicks fully into place.
- Inspect tank actuator: Look for a plastic tab or protrusion on the tank that presses a switch inside the housing. If broken, the tank may need replacement.
- Check micro switch: Locate the tank-present micro switch inside the housing. Manually press the lever and listen for a click. If no click or it feels loose, the switch may be faulty.
- Test continuity: With a multimeter, test the micro switch for continuity when pressed and released. Replace the tank detection micro switch if it fails.
- Adjust alignment: Slightly adjust the position of the switch bracket if the tank does not reliably engage it.
