AEG
Defrost Mode Active / Low Temperature Protection
Dehumidifier displays P2 and stops dehumidifying, often in low temperatures

Possible Causes
Room temperature below operating range, Evaporator heavily iced, Defrost sensor detecting prolonged low coil temperature, Restricted airflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before defrosting manually.
- Check room temperature: Ensure the room is within the specified operating range (typically above 5°C). Move the unit to a warmer room if necessary.
- Inspect for ice: Remove the front panel and check the evaporator for ice buildup. If iced, leave the unit unplugged until all ice melts.
- Clean filter and coils: Clean the air filter and vacuum dust from the coils to improve airflow.
- Restart: After defrosting and cleaning, restart the unit. If P2 appears constantly even in a warm room, test and possibly replace the defrost NTC sensor.
