AIRCARE
High Moisture Load or Continuous Operation
Dehumidifier bucket fills too quickly and needs to be emptied multiple times per day.

Possible Causes
Extremely humid environment (basement, crawlspace), Continuous mode selected instead of humidity set point, Air leaks bringing in moist outdoor air, Undersized dehumidifier for space
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before moving the unit or connecting hoses.
- Step 1 – Check humidity setting: Ensure the dehumidifier is set to a reasonable target (45–55% RH) rather than continuous mode.
- Step 2 – Use continuous drain: If available, connect a drain hose to the rear drain outlet and route it to a floor drain to avoid frequent bucket emptying.
- Step 3 – Reduce moisture sources: Seal obvious air leaks, close windows, and reduce open water sources (like uncovered sump pits).
- Step 4 – Evaluate capacity: Compare the unit’s pint-per-day rating to the size and dampness of the area. A very wet basement may require a higher-capacity AIRCARE dehumidifier or multiple units.
Frequent bucket filling is not a fault if the environment is very humid; managing drainage and moisture sources is key.
