Possible Causes
Bucket switch lever jammed, Float magnet stuck in full position, Broken or misaligned bucket float, Failed bucket full microswitch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dehumidifier before inspecting the bucket area.
- Step 1 – Remove and reinstall bucket: Pull out the bucket, ensure it is empty, then push it back in firmly until it seats fully.
- Step 2 – Inspect float mechanism: Look inside the bucket cavity for a float or lever that moves when the bucket is inserted. Ensure it moves freely.
- Step 3 – Clean and lubricate lightly: Remove any debris or scale around the float. A small amount of silicone-safe lubricant can help a sticky lever, but avoid petroleum products.
- Step 4 – Test switch manually: With the unit unplugged, press the bucket switch lever by hand and listen for a click. If it does not click or feels loose, replace the switch.
- Step 5 – Replace float or switch: Install the correct AIRCARE bucket float or microswitch for your model if damaged.
After repair, the bucket full light should turn off when the bucket is empty and properly seated, allowing normal operation.
