Possible Causes
Blown internal fuse, Failed control board, Loose harness to display, Faulty power supply module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing covers. Capacitors may retain charge.
- Verify outlet: Plug in another device to confirm the outlet is live.
- Check internal fuse: Remove the access panel and locate any inline or board-mounted fuses. Test continuity with a multimeter and replace with the same type and rating if open.
- Inspect harness: Ensure the ribbon cable or harness from the main board to the display/control panel is firmly seated at both ends.
- Measure low-voltage supply: With care and power on, measure DC voltage at the control board’s low-voltage output to the display. If absent, the power supply section of the board may be failed.
- Replace board or display: Replace the Aprilaire dehumidifier main control board or display/control module depending on which tests faulty.
