Dehumidifier bucket fills very quickly or overflows even with hose attached
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Drain hose routed uphill, Hose end submerged in water, Blocked hose or drain outlet, Internal drain adapter not sealed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before handling water connections.
Steps to improve drainage:
- 1. Check hose slope: Ensure the hose runs downhill from the unit to the drain with no upward loops.
- 2. Clear obstructions: Disconnect and flush the hose. Clean the unit’s drain outlet with a small brush.
- 3. Avoid submerging hose end: The hose outlet should not be underwater in a drain or sump, which can cause backpressure.
- 4. Inspect drain adapter: Confirm the internal drain adapter or plug is correctly installed and sealed according to the Ariston manual.
