Possible Causes
Faulty main control board relays, Incorrect humidity setpoint or mode, Defective humidity sensor reading 0% or 100%, Safety interlock (bucket, tilt) not engaged
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before accessing internal components.
Steps to diagnose:
- 1. Verify settings: Ensure the unit is in dehumidify mode and the set humidity is lower than the current room humidity.
- 2. Check bucket and tilt switches: Confirm the water bucket is fully seated and the unit is level. A misaligned bucket or tilt sensor can prevent operation.
- 3. Observe display humidity: If it shows 0% or 99–100% constantly, the humidity sensor may be faulty and preventing start.
- 4. Listen for relay clicks: When calling for dehumidification, you should hear relays click on the main PCB. If not, the board may be defective.
- 5. Replace faulty parts: Replace the humidity sensor module if readings are clearly wrong. If sensor is good but relays do not energize, replace the main control board.
