Possible Causes
Failed ultrasonic transducer, Burned mist generator driver circuit, Mineral scale buildup on transducer, Loose wiring to mist module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and remove the water tank before servicing the mist generator.
Steps to address F2:
- 1. Check water level and seating: Ensure the tank is full and properly seated. Some models will show F2 if the tank is not detected.
- 2. Inspect the mist outlet: Remove any covers and check for visible scale or debris around the ultrasonic transducer disc.
- 3. Clean the transducer surface: Use a cotton swab lightly moistened with white vinegar to gently remove mineral deposits from the disc. Do not press hard or use abrasive tools.
- 4. Check wiring: Access the underside of the mist module and verify that all connectors to the ultrasonic transducer assembly are secure.
- 5. Test operation: Reassemble, refill the tank, and power on. If F2 persists and there is still no mist, the transducer or its driver circuit is likely defective.
- 6. Replace mist module: Replace the complete ultrasonic mist generator module or transducer assembly as specified for your Ariston model. This often comes as a sealed unit.
