Dehumidifier shows P2 and stops; continuous drain hose may be attached

Safety: Unplug the unit before handling hoses or opening panels. Water may spill; protect flooring.

Steps to address P2:

• 1. Check hose routing: Ensure the drain hose slopes downward continuously to the drain point and is not kinked or looped.
• 2. Clear blockages: Disconnect the hose and flush it with water to remove sludge or scale. Use a flexible brush if needed.
• 3. Inspect internal drain outlet: Where the hose connects to the dehumidifier, check for debris or mold blocking the outlet. Clean with a small brush.
• 4. For pump models: If your Ariston unit has an internal pump, listen for pump operation when water should be draining. If silent or just humming, the condensate pump may be jammed or failed.
• 5. Access pump (if equipped): Remove the rear or side panel to reach the pump. Check for obstructions in the pump inlet and outlet. Clean as needed.
• 6. Replace pump if defective: If the pump does not run when powered and not blocked, replace the pump assembly with the correct Ariston part.
