How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before cleaning. Avoid inhaling dust or mold; consider wearing a mask and gloves.
Steps:
- 1. Clean water tank: Wash the tank with warm water and mild detergent. Disinfect with a diluted bleach solution (rinse thoroughly afterward).
- 2. Clean condensate tray: Access the tray under the evaporator and wipe away slime or mold with a disinfectant solution.
- 3. Clean coils: Use a coil cleaner suitable for aluminum fins or a mild detergent solution. Do not bend the fins.
- 4. Dry the unit: After cleaning, run the fan‑only mode (if available) for 30–60 minutes to dry internal surfaces.
- 5. Regular maintenance: Empty and rinse the tank frequently and clean the filter monthly to prevent recurrence.
