Dehumidifier powers on but compressor never starts, fan runs continuously

Safety: Unplug the unit. Work around the compressor only if you understand mains safety.

Steps:

• 1. Check settings: Ensure the humidity setpoint is lower than current room humidity and that no timer or defrost mode is preventing operation.
• 2. Confirm ambient temperature: If the room is too cold, the unit may intentionally prevent compressor start. Move to a warmer room.
• 3. Listen for relay click: When the unit should start dehumidifying, listen for a click from the PCB. No click may indicate a bad relay or control board.
• 4. Inspect compressor start components: Access the compressor and check the PTC relay and overload protector for damage. Replace with Beko‑specified parts if suspect.
• 5. If compressor still does not start: The compressor windings or the PCB relay may be faulty. This typically requires professional diagnosis and repair.
