Possible Causes
Failed relative humidity sensor, Contaminated sensor element from dust or moisture, Broken sensor harness, Faulty main PCB humidity input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before removing covers. Avoid touching live circuits.
Steps:
- 1. Basic reset: Disconnect power for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect. If E3 returns, continue.
- 2. Locate humidity sensor: On many Beko dehumidifiers, the RH sensor is mounted behind the front grille near the air intake or on a small board connected to the main PCB by a cable.
- 3. Visual inspection: Remove the front cover. Look for a small sensor module or PCB with vent holes. Check for heavy dust, corrosion, or water damage. Ensure the connector is firmly seated.
- 4. Clean the sensor area: Use a soft brush or compressed air to gently remove dust. Do not soak the sensor in liquid cleaners.
- 5. Check wiring: Inspect the cable from the sensor to the main board for damage. Reseat both ends.
- 6. Replace the humidity sensor: If cleaning and reseating do not clear E3, order a compatible Beko humidity sensor module. Disconnect the old one, install the new module in the same location, and reconnect the cable.
- 7. Main PCB check: If a new sensor does not resolve the error, the main control board may be defective and require replacement by a technician.
