Possible Causes

Stuck float in water tank, Faulty float switch, Dirty or blocked water level sensor, Damaged wiring between float switch and PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect from mains before inspecting internal components.

Steps:

  • 1. Check water tank: Remove the tank and empty it completely. Clean any slime, scale, or debris. Reinstall the tank firmly, ensuring it is fully seated.
  • 2. Inspect float mechanism: Look inside the tank compartment for a plastic float or magnetic float assembly. Make sure it moves freely up and down. Clean any buildup that may cause sticking.
  • 3. Test with tank removed (if design allows): Some Beko models have a small lever or switch that is pressed when the tank is installed. Gently press it by hand (with power off) to ensure it moves freely.
  • 4. Check float switch wiring: Remove the rear or side panel to access the float switch. Inspect the two‑wire harness and connector to the main PCB. Reseat the connector.
  • 5. Electrical test: With the unit unplugged, disconnect the float switch and measure continuity while moving the float. It should change state (open/closed) as the float moves. If not, the switch is faulty.
  • 6. Replace float switch assembly: Order a Beko water level float switch or tank sensor assembly for your model. Remove the old switch, install the new one in the same position, and reconnect wiring.
