Possible Causes

Blocked fan wheel, Failed fan motor, Loose fan connector, Faulty fan speed feedback signal to PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing the fan. Fan blades and metal edges can be sharp.

Steps:

  • 1. Check for obstructions: Remove the air filter and look into the fan area. Remove any plastic, dust clumps, or foreign objects blocking the fan.
  • 2. Spin the fan by hand: With power off, gently rotate the fan wheel. It should spin freely without grinding or stiffness. If it is hard to turn, the motor bearings may be failing.
  • 3. Access the fan motor: Remove the front or rear housing to expose the fan assembly. Inspect the motor wiring harness and connector to the PCB. Reseat the connector.
  • 4. Clean the fan and housing: Use a brush or vacuum to remove heavy dust from the blades and surrounding shroud. Excess dust can unbalance the fan and overload the motor.
  • 5. Test operation: Reassemble enough to run the unit safely. Plug in and start. If E7 returns and the fan does not start or runs erratically, the motor is likely defective.
  • 6. Replace fan motor assembly: Order the correct Beko fan motor (and fan wheel if needed) for your model. Remove the old motor, transfer the fan wheel if reusable, install the new motor, and reconnect wiring.
