Possible Causes

Loose ribbon cable between display board and main PCB, Damaged touch panel, Moisture ingress into control panel, Faulty display PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel.

Steps:

  • 1. Inspect control panel: Check for visible cracks, water spills, or condensation on the display and buttons.
  • 2. Access the display board: Remove the top or front bezel to expose the control panel PCB. Carefully disconnect the ribbon cable or harness connecting it to the main PCB.
  • 3. Reseat connectors: Clean any light oxidation on the contacts with a dry, lint‑free cloth. Reinsert the ribbon cable fully and evenly.
  • 4. Dry the panel: If there are signs of moisture, allow the panel to dry completely in a warm, dry environment for several hours before reassembly.
  • 5. Test operation: Reassemble and power on. If F1 persists and buttons do not respond correctly, the control panel PCB is likely faulty.
  • 6. Replace display/control PCB: Order the correct Beko display/control board for your model. Swap the old board for the new one, transferring any plastic keypads or bezels as needed.
