H2
Beko Low Temperature Protection / Anti‑Frost Lockout

Dehumidifier shows H2 and stops, often in cold rooms

Possible Causes

Room temperature below operating range, Faulty ambient temperature sensor, Incorrect sensor placement, Main PCB misinterpreting temperature

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug before accessing sensors.

Steps:

  • 1. Check room temperature: Use a thermometer to confirm the room is above the minimum operating temperature (typically 5°C). If not, move the unit to a warmer room.
  • 2. Inspect ambient sensor: Locate the ambient NTC sensor near the air intake. Ensure it is exposed to room air and not touching the evaporator or other cold surfaces.
  • 3. Check wiring and connector: Inspect the sensor harness for damage and reseat the connector on the PCB.
  • 4. Test sensor resistance: Measure resistance at room temperature and compare to expected NTC values. Replace the sensor if readings are out of range.
  • 5. If H2 persists in a warm room with a new sensor: The main PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
