High Humidity or Sensor Over‑Range Indication
Dehumidifier displays HI and may run continuously without reaching set humidity

Possible Causes
Extremely high room humidity, Faulty humidity sensor reading too high, Sensor not exposed to room air, Moisture contamination on sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before opening the cabinet.
Steps:
- 1. Confirm humidity: Use a separate hygrometer. If humidity is indeed very high, the HI indication may be correct.
- 2. Improve room conditions: Close windows and doors, reduce other moisture sources, and allow the unit time to reduce humidity.
- 3. Inspect humidity sensor: Remove front cover and locate the sensor. Ensure it is not blocked by insulation or plastic and is in the airflow path.
- 4. Clean sensor area: Gently remove dust and moisture from around the sensor using a dry brush or compressed air.
- 5. Replace sensor if readings are clearly wrong: If the unit shows HI in a dry room, replace the humidity sensor module.
