Possible Causes

Blocked internal condensate pump, Stuck pump float, Kinked pump discharge hose, Failed pump motor, Pump level switch fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination; keep the area dry while working.

Steps:

  • 1. Check external drain hose: Ensure the pump discharge hose is not kinked, blocked, or routed uphill excessively. Clear any obstructions.
  • 2. Access internal pump: Remove the rear or bottom panel to locate the small condensate pump reservoir and float.
  • 3. Clean pump reservoir: Remove any sludge, mold, or debris from the pump tray. Make sure the float moves freely up and down.
  • 4. Inspect pump wiring: Check the pump motor connector and the float switch wiring to the PCB. Reseat connectors.
  • 5. Test pump (advanced): With the unit unplugged, measure resistance of the pump motor. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. You can also briefly power the pump with appropriate mains voltage (only if you are qualified) to confirm operation.
  • 6. Replace pump assembly: If the pump or float switch is defective, replace the complete Beko condensate pump assembly for your model.
