Possible Causes

Stuck float in water tank, Misaligned tank not engaging tank switch, Faulty tank full microswitch or reed switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before inspecting the tank area.

Steps:

  • Remove and reinsert tank: Take out the tank and reinstall it firmly to ensure it engages the internal switch.
  • Inspect tank float: Look inside the tank for a float mechanism. Ensure it moves freely and is not jammed by dirt or scale.
  • Clean float and tank: Wash with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry.
  • Check tank switch: Locate the tank full switch in the dehumidifier body (often a small lever or magnetic reed). Press or actuate it manually (with the unit unplugged) to ensure it moves freely.

If the tank full light remains on with the tank correctly installed and the switch moving freely, the switch or its wiring may be faulty and require replacement.
