Steps:

• Change location: Move the unit to a different surface (e.g., from a wooden shelf to a thicker table) to reduce resonance.
• Check for loose panels: Gently press on different parts of the housing while the unit is running (be careful of water) to identify vibrating panels. Tighten screws or add thin foam pads where panels meet.
• Clean fan and transducer: Dust and scale can change vibration characteristics. Clean as per fan and descaling procedures.
• Replace noisy components: If the noise clearly comes from the fan and persists after cleaning, replace the fan motor. If it originates from the water chamber and correlates with mist output, the ultrasonic transducer may need replacement.
