Possible Causes
Moisture ingress into touch panel, Disconnected control panel ribbon cable, Failed touch sensor IC on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before opening the control panel area.
Steps:
- Dry the panel: If the panel was recently wiped or exposed to mist, unplug and let it dry for 12–24 hours, then test again.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the housing around the control panel and locate the flat ribbon cable connecting it to the main PCB. Ensure it is fully inserted and locked.
- Clean contacts: If the ribbon connector shows signs of oxidation, gently clean with contact cleaner and reinsert.
- Check for cracks: Examine the control PCB for cracks or corrosion. If damaged, the entire control panel assembly may need replacement.
If none of the buttons respond after these steps, replacing the control panel or main PCB is recommended and should be done by an authorized service center.
