Possible Causes
Faulty water level sensor intermittently opening, Overheat sensor triggering due to blocked airflow, Loose power connection or internal wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before internal inspection.
Steps:
- Check ventilation: Ensure vents are not blocked and the unit is not placed in a confined space.
- Inspect water level system: Follow the water level fault procedure (E3/Lo). A sticky float can cause random shutoffs.
- Wiggle test: With the unit running, gently tap or wiggle the tank and housing (without tipping). If it shuts off, suspect a loose connection or faulty switch.
- Open base: Inspect wiring harnesses and connectors for looseness. Reseat all plugs.
If the problem persists, the main PCB or sensor circuits may be unstable and require professional repair.
