Possible Causes
Failed piezoelectric transducer disc, Loose or corroded transducer wiring, Burned transducer driver circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the humidifier and empty the water tank before inspection.
Checks:
- Confirm basic operation: Ensure the unit is powered on, fan is running, and water tank is full and correctly seated.
- Inspect the transducer area: Remove the tank and look at the metal disc at the bottom of the water chamber. Check for cracks, discoloration, or heavy limescale.
- Descale the transducer: Apply a small amount of vinegar-water solution to the disc and let sit for 10–15 minutes. Gently wipe with a soft cloth. Do not scratch the surface.
- Test again: Refill the tank and test. If there is still no mist and you cannot feel vibration when touching the plastic near the disc (with the unit on and water present), the transducer or driver is likely faulty.
- Replace transducer (advanced): Remove the base cover, disconnect the transducer wires from the PCB, and unscrew the transducer assembly. Install a compatible Beurer ultrasonic transducer kit, ensuring the gasket is properly seated to prevent leaks.
If replacing the transducer does not restore mist, the driver circuit on the main PCB may be defective and should be serviced professionally.
