Possible Causes

Humidity set too low or at maximum, Faulty humidity sensor reading too high, Sensor placement affected by direct mist stream

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: No internal work is needed for basic checks; keep the unit plugged in only while adjusting settings.

Steps:

  • Check set humidity: Increase the target humidity on the control panel. If the display shows 'Hi' because the setpoint is reached, this is normal behavior.
  • Relocate the unit: Move the humidifier so that the humidity sensor (usually near the control panel or air outlet) is not directly in the mist path, which can cause falsely high readings.
  • Ventilate slightly: In very small rooms, humidity can spike near the unit. Open a door slightly and retest.
  • If 'Hi' appears constantly: The humidity sensor may be faulty. Follow the humidity sensor fault procedure (see E2/E7) and replace the sensor if necessary.
