Possible Causes
Empty or improperly seated water tank, Stuck float in low position, Faulty water level sensor or reed switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before lifting the tank.
Steps:
- Refill and reseat tank: Fill the tank to the maximum line with clean, preferably demineralized water. Ensure the cap is tightened and the tank is correctly positioned on the base.
- Check float movement: Look for the float in the base or tank. Gently move it up and down with a non-metallic tool to ensure it is not stuck.
- Descale float area: If there is visible limescale, soak the float and its chamber in a vinegar-water solution, rinse, and reassemble.
- Test operation: Plug the unit back in and check if 'Lo' clears. If not, the level sensor or reed switch may be defective and require replacement.
