Dehumidifier bucket full light stays on even when bucket is empty and properly installed

Safety: Unplug the unit before inspecting the bucket switch.

Steps:

• Remove and reinstall bucket: Slide the bucket out and back in firmly, ensuring it is fully seated and level.
• Inspect float: Look inside the bucket compartment for a float mechanism or lever. Ensure it moves freely and is not jammed by dirt or scale.
• Test switch: Access the bucket full switch (usually a small micro-switch or reed switch near the bucket opening). Manually actuate the lever or magnet and listen for a click. Test continuity with a multimeter; replace if it does not change state.
• Adjust alignment: Slightly bend the switch bracket (if metal) or adjust the float arm so that the bucket properly engages the switch when installed.
• Replace assembly: If the float or switch is broken, replace the bucket full switch assembly with the correct Bionaire part.
