Dehumidifier runs continuously and never reaches the set humidity

Safety: Unplug the unit before replacing sensors or boards.

Steps:

• Check environment: Close windows and doors. Reduce other moisture sources (drying clothes indoors, open water containers).
• Verify with external hygrometer: Compare the unit’s humidity reading with an independent hygrometer. If the unit reads much higher, the sensor may be faulty.
• Replace humidity sensor: Install a new Bionaire humidity sensor module if readings are inaccurate.
• Control board: If the sensor is accurate but the unit never cycles off, the main control PCB may not be responding correctly and should be replaced.
