Humidity Sensor / Control Fault (Humidifier Models)
Humidifier displays F1 and does not produce mist

Possible Causes
Failed onboard humidity sensor, Disconnected sensor harness, Moisture contamination on sensor, Faulty control PCB humidity circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the humidifier and empty the water tank before opening the housing.
Steps:
- Locate RH sensor: On Bionaire humidifiers, the humidity sensor is often mounted near the air outlet or on the control PCB behind the front panel.
- Dry and clean: If the sensor area is damp from overfilling or spills, dry thoroughly with a lint-free cloth and allow to air dry. Use compressed air to remove dust.
- Check harness: Ensure the sensor’s connector is firmly seated on the control board.
- Test operation: Reassemble, refill the tank, and power on. If F1 remains, the sensor or control board is likely defective.
- Replace sensor or board: Replace the humidity sensor module first. If the error persists, replace the main control PCB.
