Possible Causes
Mineral buildup on ultrasonic transducer, Dirty or clogged mist outlet, Low water level in base, Fan running at reduced speed due to dust or motor wear
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the humidifier and empty the tank before cleaning.
Steps:
- Descale transducer: Clean the ultrasonic transducer disc with white vinegar and a soft cloth or cotton swab to remove mineral deposits.
- Clean mist outlet: Wipe the mist outlet and internal channels with a damp cloth. Remove any visible obstructions.
- Check water level: Ensure the base reservoir is adequately filled when the tank is installed. If not, check the tank valve for blockage.
- Clean fan and intake: Vacuum dust from the air intake and fan area to restore proper airflow.
- Replace transducer or fan: If output remains weak, replace the ultrasonic transducer assembly. If airflow is still low, the fan motor may need replacement.
