Humidifier shuts off even though there is still water in the tank

Safety: Unplug the humidifier before handling internal parts.

Steps:

• Remove and reseat tank: Take out the tank and reinstall it carefully, ensuring it is fully seated.
• Clean float and chamber: Access the float in the base or tank. Clean with warm water and vinegar to remove mineral deposits.
• Check float movement: Manually move the float up and down; it should move freely and return to its resting position.
• Test level switch: If accessible, test the water level switch or reed switch with a multimeter while moving the float. Replace if it does not change state.
• Replace float assembly: If the float is saturated or damaged, replace the float and switch assembly.
