Display is very dim or completely blank, but unit still runs

Safety: Unplug before servicing.

Steps:

• Check brightness setting: Some models allow dimming. Verify the brightness is not set to minimum.
• Inspect display connector: Remove the control panel and reseat the connector between the display and the main board.
• Replace display board: If the unit operates but the display remains dark, replace the display/control panel board.
