Possible Causes
Stuck or shorted keypad button, Moisture intrusion into control panel, Damaged control panel PCB, Loose ribbon cable to main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before opening the control panel.
Steps to address F0:
- Dry the panel: If the panel was recently exposed to water (cleaning, spill), unplug the unit and allow it to dry for 24 hours in a warm, dry area.
- Inspect buttons: Check for physically stuck buttons. Gently work each button to ensure it moves freely.
- Open the control panel: Remove screws securing the top/front bezel and carefully lift the control panel. Inspect for corrosion or water marks on the PCB.
- Check ribbon cable: Ensure the flat cable from the keypad to the main board is fully seated and not damaged.
- Replace control panel board: If corrosion or damage is visible, or if F0 persists, replace the control panel PCB / keypad assembly with a compatible Black+Decker part.
